The District Information Office Badin was carved out in the year 1975. Due to shortage of office accommodation, the office was established at Press Club Badin where Mr. Saleem Akhtar Siddique assumed his duties as a first Information Officer Badin. In the year 1982 the office was shifted at District Council Building, where one room was allotted. Again in the year 1988 the office was shifted to the DC Office. Under Devolution Plan: On 29-07-2002 the existing office was shifted by the District Administrator with the view that department should arrange its own building for the establishment of Information Department Office. For time being office was again shifted at Service School of Disabled Children where building structure was deteriorated / Ruined condition. On our humble request to the DCO Badin Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah, who was very kind enough allotted two rooms for the establishment of District Information Office Badin, for this act of kindness, we are thankful to the DCO Badin, who has cooperated for providing of accommodation at new Secretariat Block of DCO building room 3 & 6. Proposal: There is need to prepare a plan for permanent construction of Office
and Residential accommodation for officer and staff of Information
